You Don’t Need a “Retreat” — You Need a ReWilding

You weren’t born to sit at a desk, struggling to squeeze words onto a screen. Wild writing—the simple act of using a real pen on real paper, outside—taps into something deeper.

  • Writing by hand activates memory and emotion.*
  • Spending just four days in nature boosts focus, creativity, & problem-solving.*
  • Walking outside can increase creative output by up to 60%!*

Many of history's greatest authors, poets, philosophers, and artists knew this instinctively. Thoreau wrote in the woods. Hemingway wrote by the sea. Mary Oliver wrote her poems in the company of trees and geese and streams.

If you're banging your head against your laptop wondering why you're not inspired, stop! It's time to trade artificial light for sunrise, notifications for birdsong, and blinking cursors for the scratch of pen on paper.

At Writers Gone Wild, we take writing off the screen and into the wild. Because creativity flourishes with movement, fresh air, and real human connection.
