TERMS & CONDITIONS
By submitting your deposit for the ReWild Your Writing Tipi Retreat in Marcola, Oregon, from September 4-7, 2025, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Payment & Cancellation Policy
The total early bird cost (if booked before May 1, 2025) is $1,450. After May 1, 2025, the total cost increases to $1,850. A $400 deposit is required to secure your spot. This deposit is nonrefundable but can be transferred to a future retreat if you cancel at least 60 days in advance (by July 6, 2025). The remaining balance of $1,050 (early bird rate) is due by July 1, 2025. If the final payment is not received by the deadline, your spot may be forfeited, and no refunds will be issued. If you cancel before July 1, 2025, you will receive a refund of any payments made minus the deposit. If you cancel after July 1, 2025, refunds (minus the deposit) are only available if we fill your spot.
2. Travel & Insurance
Travel to and from the retreat location is your responsibility. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover unexpected cancellations, emergencies, or travel disruptions. Writers Gone Wild is not responsible for any travel delays, missed flights, or other transportation issues.
3. Health & Safety
This retreat takes place in a semi-rustic, outdoor setting with uneven terrain, tipis for lodging, and exposure to the elements. If you have medical conditions, dietary restrictions, or physical limitations, you must notify us in advance. You are responsible for your own safety, health, and well-being during the retreat. In the event of an emergency, Writers Gone Wild reserves the right to modify the retreat schedule for the safety of all participants.
4. Liability Waiver
By participating, you assume all risks associated with outdoor activities, accommodations, and the retreat experience. Writers Gone Wild, its organizers, and facilitators are not liable for any injuries, illnesses, lost/stolen items, or damages incurred before, during, or after the retreat.
5. Code of Conduct
This retreat is designed to foster a supportive, respectful, and inclusive community. Disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated, and we reserve the right to remove participants without refund if necessary.
6. Alcohol Policy
Local wines will be provided, and alcohol is permitted in moderation. Please do not bring outside or your own alcohol—this helps us create a mindful and cohesive retreat experience.
7. Retreat Changes & Force Majeure
Writers Gone Wild reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the retreat schedule, accommodations, or activities as needed. If unforeseen circumstances (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, venue issues) force the retreat to be canceled, we will make every effort to reschedule. However, no refunds will be issued beyond our stated policy.
8. Photography & Content Release
By attending, you agree that Writers Gone Wild may use photos/videos taken during the retreat for promotional purposes. If you prefer not to be photographed, you must notify us in writing before the retreat.
